Sunday 4th June - Windsurf **** The Dip at Felixstowe - sunny and warm.

Fin - 25.76 knot max, 24.50 knot ave, 17.09 knot hour (year PB), 21.28 knot mile (year PB), 53.56 km., 13.46 knot alpha.

F2 282 Ride with Tushingham Thunderbird 6.5m and 36 fin.

Pretty much identical to yesterday wall to wall sunshine but a tad windier today, with high water in Felixstowe at 12.23 I was in no hurry to get down to The Dip so once again did my exercises in the garden while Mag sorted out her plants. Then after lunch with 20 knots of NE breeze blowing, I could not wait any longer so headed down dropping Mag off at Jacobs Ladder for her walk today, Chris Stephens was already there with 5.8 rigged for his 100 lt. board with Mark and Paul arriving with Ian with an injured leg coming down to take some pics. We were a little early really as the tide was still high and the sea choppy but after a chat, we all decided to fin today and I once again rigged my much-loved Tushingham 6.5, sadly definitely on its last legs, more tap than monofilm, going to have to get some new sails one day if only the pension stretched that far! The session started the usual way going for a fast hour which means me sailing out about a mile and a half 10 ten times in far from easy conditions as it was very lumpy out to sea and finding a wave to gybe on was difficult, sailing back in was better and the flatter water near the beach was nice to turn in but sadly the wind eased here so you could not plan out but that?s life. I landed knackered after doing 26 miles and after a short break went out and did a few more miles breaking 30 in the end, I am now officially knackered once again and am defiantly having tomorrow off, we are hoping to go to Christchurch Park in Ipswich, fingers crossed we spot the famous baby owls. I was pleased with todays hour, a year PB of 17.09 knots,, not bad considering how rough it was, also surprisingly got a years best mile too with 9 over 19 knots:)
One of my pics was chosen as BBC,s Editors Pick but sadly it did not make it onto the TV:(
Lastly a thankyou to Ian for taking some nice pics of this afternoons session and hope his leg gets better soon!
